Welcome

Welcome to my website! I’m Deborah Hodge and I love writing children’s books!

Kids are interested in many things — and so am I! That’s why I write on a variety of topics. I always hope that my books will help kids make new and amazing discoveries about the world and themselves.

Click on Books to see the different kinds of books I write. You’ll discover titles for nature, wildlife, history, science and picture books. Some are written for younger children, while others are for older readers.

Educators can find sets of classroom activities to accompany many of my books by checking under Teachers & Students. This section also has a Bio and FAQ page written especially for the kids in your classroom.

For information on school and library visits, or presentations to adult audiences, please see Author Talks. You’ll see tips on writing and publishing, too.

Read my latest musings on writing and books, or find out about recent school visits and other literary events by checking the News section.

Feel free to get in touch by using the Contact page. I’d love to hear from you. Thank you for visiting!
