Engaging Books for Curious Kids!

Kids are interested in many things — and so am I! That’s why I write on a variety of topics. I always hope that my books will help kids make new and amazing discoveries about the world and themselves.

I’ve written thirty-five books for children, with more to come soon. They include: picture books (read-aloud stories), as well as books on nature, wildlife, ecology and history. My most recent publications celebrate the flora and fauna of our beautiful Pacific west coast. It’s been wonderful to collaborate on these books with Karen Reczuch, who creates such lovely art.

Many of my works have been translated into other languages including: French, Spanish, Catalan, Castilian, Chinese, Indonesian, Swedish, Finnish and Danish. I love to imagine kids in faraway places turning the pages of one of my books!

Other than spending time with my family, there’s nothing I’d rather do than write a book for children.
